    Constraint-based recommender for procurement opportunities

    Int. J. Bus. Inf. Syst. 38(1): 62-84, 2021

    Résumé

We propose a recommender which deals with the suggestion of
suitable supplying opportunities. The established system is addressed to the
handicraft women communities. It targets to respond to their needs and fit their
expectations. Indeed, the recommendation mechanism is based on the final
users profiles, preferences and constraints. Moreover, the adopted
recommendation strategy is hybrid. It includes both the knowledge and the
demographic approaches for better performance. Additionally, we proposed
two recommendation algorithms in order to select and rank suitable suppliers.
In order to validate our approach we designed and developed a context
ontology based multi-agent system. Technically, we developed a J2EE
application based on the JSF technology. Moreover, we introduced interesting
experimentation results showing that our system is accurate and novel.

Knowledge Deduction and Reuse Application to the Products’ Design Process

    Int. J. Softw. Eng. Knowl. Eng. 30(2): 217-237, 2020

    Résumé

In this paper, we introduce a framework for knowledge reuse and deduction in mechanical
products design and development. The proposed system e®ectively exploits the capitalized and
inferred knowledge. To this end, we settled up an ontology dealing with the design process of
mechanical products such as \the car". The ontology-based framework is supported by a
software tool that brings an automatic and personalized assistance to correspondent actors
using the deduction process. Indeed, the systems provides the relevant knowledge to the suitable
users in order to facilitate their professional tasks considering their roles and collaboration.
Experimental results have demonstrated the e®ectiveness of reusing knowledge during product
    development lifecycle.

Weighted utility based recommender for e-procurement in handicraft communities

    iiWAS 2019: 448-452, 2019

    Résumé

In this paper, we would like to assess the positive impact of the recommendation process during the professional activities of business actors. We are interested specifically in the improvement of the economic life of the handicraft women from emerging countries. To this end, we introduce a utility based recommender dealing with the procurement opportunities. Actually, we proposed a utility function which takes into account the weighted preferences and expectations of final users. The system is evaluated based on the gain to obtain if the proposed recommendations are adopted in addition to the satisfaction level of the final users.

Agent based modeling and simulation for events hybrid recommendation: application to the handicraft domain

In the 17th International Conference on Information Integration and Web-based Applications & Services, iiWAS, 11-13 December. Brussels-Belgium, 2015

    Résumé

Recommending personalized events from the huge amount of information on the social web is a challenging problem. Besides, dealing with such recommendation improves significantly the professional communities activities. Likewise, it helps them to make appropriate decisions while saving time and efforts. In this paper, we propose a hybrid recommender system which suggests suitable events to the HanDicraft Women (HDWs) from Tunisia and Algeria. The established system considers the final user needs and demographic attributes. Indeed, it combines the knowledge-based and demographic approaches together. Useful information related to the HDWs and available events are represented through a semantic formalization : Friend Of A Friend (FOAF) Ontoloy and Online presence Ontology (OPO). Moreover, the recommender is able to manage the dynamicity and heterogeneity of the HDWs environments since it is based on a multi-agent architecture.

Ontology based Multi-Agent System for the Handicraft Domain E-Bartering

In the 28th Bled eConference BECC, 07-10 June. Bled-Slovenia, 2015

    Résumé

The online supply requirement management within a heterogonous environment represents a real challenge. While the traditional e-purchase is widely adopted, the e-barter seems to be an ambitious alternative. It is mainly solicited when suppliers might be unavailable or the delivery timeouts are important. Moreover, it reinforces the communication between the producer and his professional network. In this paper, we propose an emulation of the handicraft women e-procurement process based on the power of multi-agent paradigm and ontology formalism. Indeed, we establish an e-barter framework which targets to recommend in real time, under different circumstances and regarding the handicraft woman situation the suitable exchange partners. Likewise, we established several producing rules in order to deduce automatically the best sourcing moment. Furthermore, the handicraft woman which is the decision maker might drive an e-barter auction (e-BA) process in order to choose the best exchange opportunities and then minimize her expenses. We consider the e-BA as a new concept merging the barter and auction notions.

Ontology based Multi Agent System for Improved Procurement Process: Application for the Handicraft Domain

In the 18th International Conference on Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems, 15-17 September (251-260). Gdynia-Poland: Elseiver., 2014

    Résumé

Suitable suppliers’ recommendation forms the basis for a successful procurement process. An automated personalization of procurement opportunities relies on the buyer and the seller profiles consistency. However, dealing with their profiles matching is not a trivial task. In fact, each contextual detail may play a crucial role in the decision making procedure especially when final users express very specific and variable needs in a heterogeneous and inconstant environment. In this paper, we designed and developed a multi agent system (MAS) for the supply chain automatization. It includes two supplier selection levels followed by a negotiation module relying on the handicraft woman online situation. Several handicraft business ontologies in addition to multi-side profile ontology are developed in order to drive the agent communication with the internal and external environment.

    Système multi-agents à base d’ontologies pour la recommandation d’opportunités d’approvisionnement

In the fifth French Days on Ontology (JFO), 14-16 November (139-144). Hammamet-Tunisia, 2014

In order to procure, the handicraft women (embroideresses), face various issues. Having a global overview on the suitable suppliers, the best procurement opportunities and the inventory shortage management represent a real challenge for them. To deal with these issues, the recommender systems have shown their performance in terms of the personalization of the knowledge provided to the professionals. In this respect, we propose a prototype for a system suggesting the trustworthy and suitable suppliers according to the handicraft woman profile and relying on three selection levels, followed by a negotiation phase. The proposed prototype is based on a multi-agents architecture and uses a business ontology modeling the embroidery business as well as profile ontology for setting the business actors’ profiles.
